A footy cowl

Heirloom Easy care 8ply on 5.5mm needles

Eno wanted a cowl to wear to the footy so it had to be in team colours.  The Demon club emblem is a navy square with a red V in the top so that is what I made.

Pattern:
Cast on 45 stitches
Row 1: P2 k1 P39 K1 P2
Row 2: K2 P1 K39 P1 K2.

Continue for 18cm finishing with a purl row.

Next row:

K2 P1 K1 (red) K38 P1 K2 (navy)

P2 K1 P37 (navy) K2 P1 K2 (red)

K2 P1 k3 (red) K36 P1 K2 (navy)

Continue as set in last 3 rows until work measures 27.5cm from beginning.

Complete other half of red V to match – 1 more stitch in navy in every row until 4 red stitches left.

Next row:

Row 1: P2 k1 P39 K1 P2
Row 2: K2 P1 K39 P1 K2.

Continue until work measures 55cm finishing with a purl row.

Cast off and sew cast on and cast off ends together.
