Entrelac scarf

Rowan Tapestry on 4mm Tasmanian oak.

Self striping yarns are great for entrelac.

I am knitting the purl rows ‘backwards’ there is an advantage in being left handed but a right handed knitter.
This scarf has slowed down lately. I have 5 balls of Tapestry and I’m on the 3rd ball. The scarf is currently 101cm (40″) long so it should end up around 200cm long if I use all the  yarn I have.

I just found out that was the 2nd ball.  I still have 3 available.  I will only be knitting one more ball to get a 200cm scarf.  I may not even make it that long as I’m only 5’2″.  So this scarf is now officially 65% complete.

Magically this scarf is now finished.

I decided on 130cm scarf for 3 reasons, 1 I like a shorter scarf when it is wider as I can’t wrap it around my neck multiple times, 2, I don’t like scarves to hang lower than the hem of my jacket and 3 after almost 2 years I was bored with this scarf!  I love the texture of it so it won’t be blocked.

Final measurement: 130cm x 18cm.

  1. Finished the second ball but this too is moving very slowly. Time to get a wriggle on I think.
