I have been planning to make Butterfly since it was published in 2005.
I have some Lady Marmalade silk/cotton 2ply so what better than to start the lace camisole that I have wanted for 5 years. Especially as I am taking part in the OTF lace challenge this year.
After a couple of false starts while I got used to the chart I have made a start. The pattern is really only 4 rows but I’m constantly making mistakes. I hope I get into the rhythm soon.
24/3/2010. Yesterday I dropped a stitch. This meant 4 rows to be unravelled and re knitted. I’m not used to this. Normally I just pick up the stitch and fix it but 2ply on 5mm looks like a mess to start with. That’s before you have to pick up dropped stitches and the adjoining YOs!
