Knitting apps for Android – County

I’ve been checking out the free apps at the Android market to find out if there is anything useful.

County

County is a simple knitting counter that is a bit more than the general counters.

How it works

On the settings page you tell County the number of rows in a repeat and whether you want to count up or down.

You then simply tap the screen and the end of each row.  When you finish a repeat it changes colour and goes back to the starting number.  The total number of rows is shown at the top and the number of completed repeats is shown at the bottom.

What I liked about it:

  • It shows the number of repeats as well as the number of rows.
  • Being able to count up or down.

Would I use it?

As I always have multiple things on the go a single counter is not a lot of use to me.  For the monogamous knitter I would recommend it.
