I’ve finally finished the bamboo lace chevron scarf I started last summer. When I went to block it I found out that bamboo is a type of viscose and acts just like viscose when wet. It becomes hard and stiff. I blocked it quite hard knowing that viscose is tight and shrinks a bit when wet.
The result was a scarf the same size as when it was dry. I’m happy to say that it dried beautifully soft and drapy, nothing like what it was when wet.
